The view from the hotel was absolutely stunning, especially during sunset. It was definitely one of the best aspects of my stay. the hotel's location was very convenient, especially for sailors. Being accessible directly by boat and within walking distance of a supermarket and other restaurants made it very convenient for me to explore the area. Lastly, I enjoyed the nice atmosphere of the hotel. It had a unique charm that added to the overall experience.
One negative aspect was that the kitchen of the restaurant closed a bit early for my liking. It would have been nice to have more dining options in the evening.

We think it's a decent base for staying in Golfito. The room was large, with climate control, a safe and a coffee machine. We were in a really nice location.

I recently stayed at the Fish Hook and it could NOT have been better. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The service was out of this world, with every staff member going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a stunning view of the marina. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, and they even cooked the fish we caught on our fishing trip to our liking. The bar had a great selection of top-shelf liquor and the bartenders were friendly and attentive. I also appreciated the added touch of having breakfast burritos and hot coffee ready for us in the morning, even before the bar opened. The amenities, including the games zone and plenty of books to read, provided extra entertainment during our downtime. I had high expectations for my stay and they were completely surpassed. I would highly recommend the Fish Hook to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay in Golfito.
The only drawback I can think of is that the parking lot is a bit limited, but there is plenty of space available across the street. Just remember to be cautious when crossing the road due to the speed limit.

The views from the bar on the harbor are mind-blowing, offering stunning sunset views and opportunities to spot sea birds. The rooms are super spacious, extremely clean, and jaw-droppingly comfortable. The restaurant overlooking the water serves delicious local food, creating a lively atmosphere with lots of Ticans enjoying their supper. The staff is unbelievably friendly, fluent in English, and always go out of their way to be helpful. Plus, they can convert small amounts of US dollars to the local currency, making everything convenient.

The location of the hotel is perfect for enjoying the sunset and spending a day by the water. The views from the rooms are stunning, and the large, clean, and comfortable rooms provide a great experience. Additionally, being right on the water gives you the opportunity to see the beautiful boats harbored in the area.
One aspect I didn't enjoy was the proximity of one of the bedroom windows to the bar/restaurant. Although there were curtains and colored glass available, it still didn't feel quite right.

The value for money at Fish Hook Marina was excellent and the room was spacious and clean. The location, right on the water, was exceptional and we even got to see turtles in the marina in the morning. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, with one waiter even offering to change my punctured wheel.
The breakfast selection could be improved with more variety.
